We're so glad you're interested in learning the Macedonian language and about Macedonian culture! The Macedonian Language E-Learning Center provides multimedia tutorials, exercises, games, and podcasts that integrate grammar and vocabulary with Macedonian culture. These resources represent the core of an open learning course, an online "textbook." They can be used for self-study or in addition to other materials and/or tutoring

The materials on the site are free. However, only the first three units are available to non-registered users. In order to view the materials in the remaining units, you have to register. Registration is free and only takes a minute. Click here to find out how to register. The community of registered users also uses Edmodo for conversation practice and getting answers to any questions they may have. If you would like to join our group on Edmodo (for free!), please contact us.

In the near future, the Center will make available advanced language learning materials for subscribers only. Subscription rates will be made public and registered users will be able to subscribe to access additional exercises at all levels, advanced materials, receive "word of the week" emails, create their own webpages, connect with other users of the site, and access weekly online "conversation hour"s with native speakers.

As a non-profit organization, we are funded by your contributions. Please consider donating to the Macedonian Language E-Learning Center.

Songs and games for kids

Research suggests that early exposure of children to various languages not only helps children acquire foreign languages more easily, but also develops other higher order thinking skills. The purpose of this section of the website is to encourage parents to expose children to the sounds of the Macedonian language through rhymes, songs, and books.

The Center currently offers four services for children: text and audio of rhymes and songs that children in Macedonia sing and enjoy, video drawings of original rhymes, interactive games, and a series of Macedonian children's books (сликовници), also available as iBooks.

Live Online One-on-one Tutoring

The Macedonian Language E-Learning Center offers one-on-one tutoring in Macedonian for registered users of the Center's website. The participants can choose their tutoring style (structured/unstructured), topics (grammar, conversation practice, literature, etc.), level (beginner, intermediate, advanced), means of communication (email, Skype, telephone, or live meeting), frequency (every day, week, month, etc.) and length of time (30 minutes or 1 hour only). The tutors are native speakers of Macedonian with varying levels of pedagogical training to accommodate the participants' needs. Contact us for more information or to schedule your tutoring.
